>Hmmmmm

>I have been ill today.

This is bad.

I have no material on which to write about Double Maths.

TIME FOR A SLOG (YES THEY’RE BACK!!!) .

I’m considering vlogs, btw :)

Not a slog, but something audiological. Or something like that. Enjoy.

>It’s Thursday!

>Yay! I’ve just come across what must be the most important discovery in the whole OF HUMANKIND. You hear me. THE WHOLE OF HUMANKIND. THIS IS A DEFINING MOMENT IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY. It’s this video. Sit back, and prepare to be AMAZED.

I know. It’s so special. So revolutionary. It defies everything you thought could be true. HAMSTERS EATING STUFF WHILST SEEING NOM NOM NOM TO AN AWESOME ACCOMPANIMENT.

The message behind this is that people are awesome at creating ORDER FROM CHAOS, AND OTHER INTERESTING MORAL FACTS. And it’s highly amusing.

Wednesday! (Yesterday).

DOUBLE MATHS FUN YAYAYYAYA AHAAAAAH WHY DOES MATHS WARP THE FABRIC OF SPACE AND TIME WHYYYYYYYY (for more information on Space Time and Quantum Mechanics please apply your eyes craftily to the previous post, containing some very useful information.) WHYYYYYYYY AAAH GOD IT HURTS SO MUCH PLEASE MAKE THE PAIN STOP OH THANK GOD THE BELLS GONE BUT THE LESSON WILL RING ON THROUGH THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY AND SCAR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS THAT PROBABLY WON’T SPRING FROM ME AND NOW I’VE ENABLED THE CAPS LOCK KEY BECAUSE TO BE HONEST HOLDING DOWN SHIFT IS QUITE HARD.

Yeah, so pretty standard Double Maths shift, I’d say.

Now, an interesting analysis into the MIND of fellow students. On Monday morning, my room at school in which I tend to reside in the morning had people in it, the same people that are always there. Just out of interest, I say “OMG GADDAFI’S DEAD”. I swear to God, every single flipping student in the ROOM stared at me with the same gleeful-jawdrop face. Pretty cool. Of course, I’m not a Gaddafi supporter.

I anticipate the week ahead to be full of many trials and tribulations, due to the fact I’m doing jack-of-all-trades-backstage-legging-it-around-doing-chores for FAME!, a big school musical – FUNSIES!, but there are lots of big rehearsals and the like, so I may not find time. Anyhoo.

To sum up (for some weird reason)

  • NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM HAMSTER IS AWESOME
  • Everyone hates Chris! Gaddafi!(in a certain room at school – the views blah blah blah represented on this blog bl – oh come off it, who… don’t get me started)
  • I shall tell you of trials and tribulations of FAME! sometime next week.
  • SeeYouTube. Hint hint.

Nomiliciously yours,

H./

It’s live.

Oh. And this.

The presentation

Watch it fullscreen. Collab work with: http://elliotbreezy.blogspot.com/. His banner is even more impressive than mine! It’s my presentation for school. Hope you enjoy it, it’s pretty much all contained in it. It needs a bit of time to load up, and use the arrow keys to move between the slides.

Why and What?

I decided to do the presentation on Time Travel for some strange reason during Double Maths. No doubt the mind-numbing effects of it took its toll and I started droning on about “ooooh lets do a presentation on Double Maths weeeee WHEN DOES THE LESSSON END AAARGH” or some such. Myself and Elliot agreed on it, having got rid of some other ideas, including placing unicorn horns on animals and calling them animals, and other weird and wacky things – we took the route of doing a Guide. We’re vaguely in Doctor who, so that probably had an influence.

I chose to use Prezi over the normal Google Presentation or movie as it allowed the reader to become immersed into the presentation, giving them the right to go gently through the swathes of information, in an easy way – arrow keys can’t be that challenging! (although, seeing some of my friends work during Systems and Control, their lack of ability at unzipping a folder, I’m slightly doubtful). It’s quite easy to use itself and allowed me to stick videos in, so any gritty hands on videos could be done in it. Overall, Prezi’s quite nice and unique – I highly recommend it to all.

MOAR!

>Single Maths pain?!

>Right. Let’s do this post!

Start off with the news.

First major thing: iPad 2!
This thing is such an awesomeness blend of rigid-standing-swallow-eating-duck-not sure where i’m going with this metaphor-AWESOMENESS. And, it doesn’t seem to be all that more expensive than the iPad 1.

2nd major thing (did you see what I did there? Hmm?): Domain name!
No longer shall this blog be CONFINED to the petty reaches of direthought.blogspot.com – FOR I SHALL HAVE DIRETHOUGHTS.COM. Pretty awesome.

Third: Double Maths and Single Maths pain?!
Not quite a gory pyschonomatic – that’s an awesome made up word! – roaring glaring description of the horrors of the dose of pain and mental torture per week that is Double maths, periods 6+7, Wednesday. No – I shall talk about a slight Philosophical element of this – bear with me. So – we’re doing some pointless “investigation” into rectangles and the number of them from a certain amount of squares. I find out the formula for it – tn = 1/2*(n^2) x 1/2*n . But oh no – this does not satisfy THE POWERS THAT BE. I must find proof that the numbers just change increasing by a set difference at the 739th number in the sequence.  Prepare for geekiness.

I can’t quite remember the code, but I wrote out the code required to make a computer give the numbers of that  formula, and compare it to the amount of rectangles. This, apparently, doesn’t count as proof. It could still change, for some reason, without the computer working it out. So, here we go – how do we know that what we take as normal isn’t the anomaly!?! One mans terrorist is another’s freedom fighter – let’s extrapolate this to a mathematically-based saying – One mans normality is another’s anomaly! (I sound a bit like Agent Smith from the Matrix). I dunno… I disagree with Mathematics at school – well, parts of it.

I think that’s all, for today. I’ve been busy doing stuff on Quantum Physics and Time Travel – all very fun, especially working out the goddamn hard formulae to do with relativity. Chapter 2 of in their Own is currently on hold :( , but if you haven’t read part 1, read it here.
